Previous Production Update...
Our partners at ARC (logistic company) estimate to deliver the board game shipment to Grinly Games warehouses before the New Year!!! Grinly Games is approaching a personal best to receive product for our backers (3) months ahead of schedule! We asked help from our backers to fill out their Backerkit surveys!
New Production Update
Grinly Games is happy to report that all orders for our backers have been received on 12/30/2022, just before New Years! Grinly Games has also taken the time to review the landed product for quality assurance. A small production error was discovered when reviewing a test sample from the palets received. The error was related to both additional components added within the base game and how they were packaged, Grinly Games is in the process of resolving the issue in time for shipping orders to our backers by end of January. We also discovered how this error occurred and have taken this opportunity as a lesson learned for future projects to be shared on Kickstarter!
It is important to emphasize, Grinly Games will be shipping products to our backers by end of January! There are a large number of backers who have yet to complete their Backerkit Surveys. Backerkit Surveys will be not accepting survey responses after January 12th, one week away! We will be working with Backerkit to ensure that all remaining backers are reminded leading up to January 12th, next Thursday.
Previous Backerkit Update...
The Backerkit surveys were sent out on 12/24/2022! We need help from our backers to fill out their surveys since in a few weeks and soon be in the process of shipping orders for our backers. The Backerkit Survey will collect shipping addresses while requesting final payment for shipping (including any taxes).
New Backerkit Update
We have had progress with close to 70% of our backers who have filled out their Backerkit surveys! Great job! We are almost there with 30% left and want to remind you that backer kit surveys will be not accepting surveys after next Thursday, 1/12/2023. We have had a few questions come up that we have answered below:
1. Question: "I am local to Arizona, how do I select the "Local Pickup" option?"
Answer: After selecting the link, directing you to the survey, be sure to select the Local Pickup option instead of selecting "Arizona." If the state of Arizona is selected, the survey will assume you may not be able to pick up locally. If Arizona is selected accidentally, then follow under the shipping tab (under country) and select local pickup. As a reminder, the local pickup area will be at The Silver Key Loung located at, 1837 W Guadalupe Rd UNIT 105, Mesa, AZ 85202. Check out question 2 for more information on when local pickup is available. Image below, if you are unable to find the local pickup option in the Backerkit Survey.
2. Question: "If I select the "Local Pickup" option, when will I be able to pick up my pledge?"
Answer: Grinly Games will be organizing an event for backers to pick up10:30 PM their orders on January 14th between 2:00 PM and 10:30PM (thepallets location of The Silver Key Loung is 1837 W Guadalupe Rd UNIT 105, Mesa, AZ 85202). If you are not able to attend to pick up your order on January 14th at The Silver key Loung, email [email protected].
3. Question: "When is the deadline to complete the Backerkit Surveys?"
Answer: This date has been changed to January 12th, 2023 due to early delivery and Backerkits one-month waiting period after surveys have been sent to each backer. The sooner your Backerkit surveys are completed, the sooner your order can be shipped. Remember, Grinly Games has all backer orders in our warehouses.

Hello everyone and happy holidays! Grinly Games is back with some more exciting news to share with our supportive backers!
Previous Production Update...
Production and pickup of the board game product took place at the end of November. While already ahead of schedule, the new anticipated arrival date for product to be delivered at our Grinly Games warehouses is at the end of January 2023.
New Production Update
We received word from the logistic company that the delivery of the board game shipment will be completed before the New Year!!! Grinly Games surpassed another milestone with more time savings for our backers and is now anticipating orders to be shipped to our backers by the end of January of 2023. With the time approaching rapidly for our warehouses to receive product, we will need the help of our backers to fill out their Backerkit surveys! Please review the Backerkit section within this update for more information.
Previous Backerkit Update...
Grinly Games finished setting up the backerkit website and sent links to a small number of backers to test the performance of the Backerkit Survey.
New Backerkit Update
The Backerkit surveys will be sent to ALL of our backers today, on Christmas Eve! As mentioned under the production section within this update, we need help from our backers to fill out their surveys since in a few weeks, will be in the process of shipping orders for our backers. The Backerkit Survey will collect shipping addresses while requesting final payment for shipping (including any taxes). With the help of the test backers, please take the time to review some of the common questions with answers.

Answer: The items to be included under "Free Kickstarter Promo Cards" is as follows for backers who have pledged $30.00 or more: (4) disease-Z promo cards, (9) zombie-apocalypse themed event cards which can be found under our (9) day giveaway in the Kickstarter page, and (1) copy of "The color out of space" promo card for the game "Cthulhu: Age of Madness."
4. Question: "When is the deadline to complete the Backerkit Surveys?"
Answer: Surveys need to be completed before January 17th, 2023. The sooner your Backerkit surveys are completed, the sooner your order can be shipped. Remember, Grinly Games will have the product in our warehouses by the end of December.

November Update!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving Holiday! I am back at it with a new update to share our progress to all of our backers!
Previous Production Update...
In our last update, we were estimated to have production complete by the end of November and coordinate a handoff of the production to our logistics company partners (ARC) at the end of November.
New Production Update
Production of the board game products is completed and the logistics company has received the order from China this week. It is anticipated that the copies of the game will arrive at the designated warehouses by the end of January 2023 (2 months from now). We are very much ahead of schedule and are anticipating shipping orders for each backer between February and March of 2023.
Previous Backerkit Update...
Additional time was needed to develop the backerkit surveys in order to receive final shipping and tax fees as well as shipping information from each backer. There were also shipping cost increases that have been vetted in the previous update,
New Backerkit Update
Grinly Games has completed all of the last items from backerkit and is at the last stage of review. We anticipate surveys to be sent out next week, the second week of December. I have received several emails requesting the option to order multiple copies of the base game "Savage: A Game of Survival" and found a way to accommodate this request. For wanting to order additional copies of the game, we thank you very much! Backers who have pledged $25 or more, will have the option of ordering (4) copies of the base game in addition to pledges processed through Kickstarter. Keep in mind that shipping and tax fees will be applied for any additional add-ons beyond Kickstarter pledges.

Shipping Updates (Backers Outside of the USA)

Hello Backers! I spent time within the October Update mostly discussing the shipping impacts that affected backers within the USA since a majority of backers are from that region of the world. I do not want to leave out backers who live outside of the USA and wanted to provide an update dedicated to those backers.
As what was originally presented in the shipping section of the Kickstarter, the estimated shipping to Canada/Mexico was $20.00, everywhere else was listed as +$30.00. The shipping cost for Canada will remain at $20.00 since it is within our estimate to ship our product. As for everywhere else, since the start of the Kickstarter campaign, the cost of shipping has increased substantially. You will find under the table below the "Shipping Cost" column the cost of shipping for backers located within the respective regions. The prices have increased in some cases by as much as $60.00?!
Grinly Games went to work evaluating how we can best accommodate our backers from these regions to get them the best shipping price possible. Similar to our strategy used with backers in the USA, Grinly Games is willing to help lower the shipping cost for our backers. For individuals that live within the regions outside of the USA, Canada, and Mexico... Grinly Games will be lowering your shipping cost by $10.00. The "reduced shipping costs" are shown in the highlighted column in the table below which will be the new costs to be charged for our backers located in the respective regions.
Grinly Games has invested a lot of time between the development of our product and the campaign that brought us all together. We recognize all of our backers and value their willingness to invest in Grinly Games on Kickstarter to make this project possible. Though we were new to this space, you took a chance on us by investing in Grinly Games and we wanted to return this favor as a surprise. We hope that not only will the reduced cost of shipping make things a little easier, but also that we stay connected and grow a community that considers Grinly Games when looking for a well-developed board game product. the "reduced shipping cost" is being offered to our backers from Kickstarter only. October Update!

Hello everyone and Happy Halloween! I have an exciting update to share our progress to all of our backers!
Previous Production Update...
In our last update, we were waiting for a production line sample from the manufacturer at the end of October.
New Production Update
We received the production line sample and provided comments back to the manufacture. The manufacturer will be producing the base game starting the first week of November 2022! Originally our Kickstarter indicated production starting in December of 2022, we are one month ahead of schedule! Additionally, we have connected our international shipping company partners at (ARC) with our board game manufacturer, who have had previous work experience together, to coordinate pick up of the final production. We have received an estimated completion of production by the end of November (or first week of December) of 2022. If our international shipping partners received the final products on time, delivery to our storage facility can be completed by the end of January 2023, if the product is provided at the end of November 2022! All in all, we are further ahead of schedule than we expected and we at Grinly Games are grateful to have the chance to share with our backers our drive to deliver ahead of our Kickstarter campaign expectations.
Previous Backerkit Update...
We will be spending most of our time in the next few weeks (until receiving the product line sample) finalizing our page for backers to access.
New Backerkit Update
Grinly Games has not yet completed the Backerkit page for our backers to access. This is because Grinly Games has been strategizing, due to the expedited schedule, to finalize shipping costs for all of our backers. Shipping for each region will be published once Backerkit access is provided to each backer. The one region that has been affected the most compared to our Kickstarter estimated shipping cost is the USA, which is where most of our backers reside. The Kickstarter page shows an estimated $10 shipping cost, where now Grinly Games is seeing an increase in cost to $15 in the USA. Grinly Games has developed (2) strategies to address the increase in shipping cost within the USA:
1. A large number of backers are located in Arizona. Grinly Games invested in a warehouse located in Mesa Arizona scheduled to receive a bulk amount of product. An option has been created called " AZ self-pickup." If this option is selected, backers located in the below region can avoid paying the cost of shipping and will receive instructions for picking up their order at a board game facility (Silver Key Lounge, address: 1837 W Guadalupe Rd UNIT 105, Mesa, AZ 85202)
A. Phoenix
B. Mesa
C. Chandler
D. Gilbert
E. Tempe
F. Scottsdale
2. For anyone that does not live above mentioned regions in Arizona or cannot choose the "self-pickup" option, Grinly Games is willing to split the difference in shipping cost in half. Instead of charging $15 for shipping in the USA, it would be $12.50 instead.
As for Backerkit, we will be working to send surveys and collect the final details needed from our backers (including backers to finalize the remaining balance for shipping costs) during the month of November. Backers who pledged 1$ will be able to add to their shopping cart any items they wish to purchase that were offered during the Kickstarter (except for the early bird special). For backers interested in ordering multiple copies of the board game, will be directed to a different website where that purchase can be done separately.
